A few rolls of film spent, processed and scanned with my Leica M6 TTL. It has been a very rewarding experience. I shot a 36 exp Trix-X 400 at box speed by mistake and developed it in Diafine. I used a rented Zeiss 50mm 1.5 lens. Images came out developed well with just some minor water marks on negatives, but the tones are amazing.
I wanted to burn through the roll to make sure the camera is functioning as it should, shutter speeds are up to par and just to shake it out. As a annual tradition I take my kids to Disneyland on their birthdays and take a point and shoot camera. Last year I took my Nikon D300 and had many great pictures. This year I took my Panasonic Lumix LX3 which is now over 1k pics taken. I am still not willing to upgrade to any of the micro 4/3 cameras as that would complicate the reason for compact camera.
My thought was small compact and I was planning to shoot in iA (Intelligent Auto Mode). As I keep taking photos with this camera my trust for the auto mode has grown and I started to feel more comfortable with letting the camera decide. I just wanted to have fun with my daughter. ...Read More...
