It is my first time shooting with Fuji Velvia slide film. I have read many articles about how nice the scans from slide film look and decided to try it out my self.

Not many people need an intro to what Micro 4/3ds cameras and lenses are. For me the idea its self is great and benefits are certainly there. Both Olympus and Panasonic are the main players int he game. According to Amazon the 5 best sellers for 4/3 cameras are: ...Read More...
I have given some thought about the entire film vs. digital cameras the came to a single conclusion. I am not going into the entire argument on how one is better then other or on one brand vs other.

Just got the new to me Nikon FM2N and put a 35mm f/2D (my review) lens and snapped a few pics with Tri-X 400. Ran upstairs developed it, went out for a bike ride and just now scanned them with a grin.

I sold most of my Nikon DSLR gear to fund a digital Leica. For now I feel like the M8.2 prices are on the way down and want to wait. I understand that a camera body looses value over time. I wanted to keep 2 Nikon lenses as they are not worth much on resale value, but I like the way photos looked on my D300. I kept the 35mm f2d lens reviewed by me here, 50mm 1.4G (I dont know if it will work on the old FM2N) and an old 100mm 2.8 e lens.

I took my Leica M6 and a few rolls of film to Malibu here in California. I wanted to shoot some ISO 100 film particularly the Kodak Ektar 100. This stretch of beach is popular with younger generation and photographers. Plenty of rocks and during the magic hour this beach is a wow!

Camera straps are sold in so many varieties, but to me a strap must work wit a specific camera. My DSLR and my Leica are 2 very different strap requirements. For my heavier Nikon D300 I use the Black Rapid StrapS RS5 strap. I checked quite a few various straps in a store in person and I though this would make a great addition. I liked the way it slings over the shoulder with the camera on the lower side. A very high quality strap and quick to draw when hanging on shoulder. Here is a video on Youtube.com that explains how to wear it. Even though in the vid it shows a big camera with a large lens it works perfect on smaller DSLR cameras. I originally got it when I had the Nikon D60 and it worked great. ...Read More...
While in a photo store I decided to try a film unfamiliar to me Rollie Pan 25. Not much information is published regarding this made in Germany film in a strange container. I loaded my M6 and took it out and shot the entire roll in a day. I also just got the Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f/2 lens and needed to find out how it shoots. I burned through the roll quite fast within 24 hours in order to understand for my self for both reasons the film and the lens.
